This method is recommended for belts, slings or flag carriers. Spot clean the dirty section with a damp towel (use warm water) and a very small amount of light liquid soap, such as Ivory Snow. Do not use hot water; do not immerse item in water - either could cause the webbing to shrink. Some customers have tried a light application of white shoe polish, but do not use that where the item will touch a dark-colored fabric. You would not want white residue rubbing off on your uniform.
